The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. It does not use LIDAR however, as other models do, to identify your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features such as an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up, you can start automated cleaning with a single button click. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two detailed maps of your space to ensure that your home is properly arranged.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do, and it can even clean up pet hair with ease. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used, but we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think it's a nice statement, but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, like staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and establish virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only issue is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but that's an acceptable price to pay if you want one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

For the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it before moving on.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the hidden bin and washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong like the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's some clutter that needs to be removed regularly, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, taking debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to even remove wet spills, though I recommend cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you can need. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, as well as an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.

Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, so you can control it even when you're away from home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are nice but they also make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This could mean it's more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which help the L10s here Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially serves as the on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hardwood floors and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and Quaker oats on carpet.
